Known for her exceptional creativity, meticulous teaching and excellent artistic vision, Smt. Srilatha Suri’s refreshing style is a product of incessant love for Kuchipudi. She connects practice with invention, value with inspiration and the ingenious with contemporary. 

Srilatha was initiated to Bharathanatyam by her art loving parents and completed her advanced training under Guru Smt. Jayalakshmi Narayana for seven years. Srilatha Suri is a senior disciple of Internationally acclaimed Guru Padma Shree Dr. Sobha Naidu. She has performed more than 700 solos, and with her guru, she has extensively performed Kuchipudi solo and group performances in India and coast-to-coast expedition of the United States, and Trinidad and Tobago in 1985.

As a performer and instructor, Srilatha is a recipient of government recognition diploma in Bharatnatyam, and multiple renowned titles such as Natyavisharada, Nritya Bharathi, Natya Mayuri, Natya Kalapraporna, Acharya Siromani, Natya Kala Choodamani, Recognition award from AP State Cultural Council and Department of Culture, to name a few. She recently completed her masters in Kuchipudi from silicon Andhra university.

Srilatha established Natyanjali Kuchipudi Dance School in Plano, with branches in Coppell, Frisco,  and Irving. Known as one of the best centers for Kuchipudi training in the United States,  Natyanjali serves to impart quality training for the next generation of Indian Classical dancers. Students undergo extensive and comprehensive training with incredible rigor. Their training is supplemented by enriching workshops by distinguished gurus Padma Shree Dr. Sobha Naidu, Sri Jai Kishore Mosalikanti, Vedantam Venkatachalapathy, Pasumarthy Venkateshwara Sarma. She has also conducted a Natyashastra workshop with Dr. Pappuvenugopal Rao.

As the Artistic Director Srilatha trains students, choreographs innovative pieces, and directs dance dramas based on the scriptures and on relevant social issues, without deviating from the classical nature of Kuchipudi.  Her work has been presented all over the United States at major venues. Some examples of her work include Sri Ramanuja, Shiva Ganga, Telugu Tejam, Telugu Vaibhavam.. She has also produced and directed several choreographies of her Guru including Kalyana Srinivasam, Navarasa Natabhamini, Jadadananakaraka, Sri Krishna Saranamama, etc. Her collaborations with Sri Jai Kishore Mosalikanti,include  Meera and Sri Gurubhyonamaha were extremely well received

Srilatha has been widely appreciated for her efforts in encouraging and supporting students who have been recognized for their exceptional artistic achievements both in USA as well as India. Many of her senior students have become excellent solo performers and are recipients of state and national level dance scholarships and have been invited to perform in national and international dance festivals. 

As a cultural advocate and co-director of  Echoes of India,  non-profit organization. She combined her love for dance and service by raising funds through dance. She installed 18 water purification plants in India and established the first medical clinic in Kuchipudi Village, as well as in Nalgonda. The water plants provide clean drinking water to more than 70,000 people and the medical clinics serve more than 50 patients per day.
