As a performer, teacher, and choreographer, Indira Sreeram Reddy wishes to share her extraordinary joy in dance, striving for new and effective ways to communicate the beauty of Kuchipudi to diverse audiences through new, vibrant, and creative choreography.

Coming from Hyderabad, AP, India, Indira Reddy took up Bharata Natyam at a young age and had her arangetram   at the age of 9 under the tutelage of Guru Mythili Kumar. She then continued to learn   and specialize in KUCHIPUDI dance style under the Kuchipudi Maestro Kalaprapoorna Padma Bhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam in Kuchipudi Art Academy, Chennai, India. For more than 20 yrs she had dedicated and professional training under the tutelage of her Guru. She has toured and given   performances in almost all the major cities in India, former Soviet Union, Europe,  Germany, Canada and US. As a member of the elite dance team sponsored by the ICCR New Delhi she has taken part in major festivals of India held in these countries.

She is the artistic founder-director of "Center for Kuchipudi Dance" a Kuchipudi dance school established in New Jersey, USA. Guru Indira Dixith continues to propagate the ancient art form to the Indian American community in the Tri-state area. Due to her dedicated efforts, Indira has not only gained immense recognition as a performer, teacher but also as a choreographer.

Currently the dance school has more than 100 students enrolled and are actively pursuing to master 'Kuchipudi', the art form of Andhra Pradesh under her guidance. She brings to the school and the students an asset of more than 20 years of teaching and choreography experience. She is actively promoting and propagating Kuchipudi in the Tristate area.

Awards
Due to her efforts of actively promoting and propagating Kuchipudi guru Indira Sreeram received many recognitions and awards that include:

- The title 'Natya Kala Tapasvi' in 2010 by Telugu.org. 
- Superior contribution to Arts award in 2013 by TAGDV
-  “Distinguished performing arts award” from ATA in 2014.
- Appreciation award from TFAS - Telugu Fine Arts Society 2015 for ‘superior contributions to Indian Classical Dances.
- Spandana Service award for her outstanding service to the community of arts in 2016
- Senate and general assembly citation - Commendations extended to Indira Reddy for her excellence in teaching Indian Classical dance in the state of NJ.- 2018
- Women empowerment award in 2019 by Telugu association of greater Delaware valley

Center for Kuchipudi Dance won the ‘Best Dance School of the Year’ Award in 2011–Indo American Competitions, NJ.
Many of the students had successful Kuchipudi Rangapraveshams.

She has successfully orchestrated opening acts for many programs held in NJ, NY and PA like ATA – Cultural Chair for the Convention in 2014, TADGV 40th anniversary celebration in 2013, Telangana development Forum in 2013, NATS IN 2011 (a ballet with 150 kids in coordination with other schools). Took part in umpteen other NATA Roju, TAGDV, TLCA, TFAS local association’s celebrations.

Indira had the experience and pleasure of coordinating, organizing, curating as well as working on collaborative presentations with eminent artists from India like Padmasri Shobha Naidu (Navarasa Natabhamini), Sri Radha Raja Reddys, Smt Manju Bhargavi (Sri Lalitha Nrutyharchanam), Madurai Muralidharan / Uma Muralikrishna (Sense Beyond), KVSatyanarayna (Amuktyamalyada), Padmaja Reddy (Srikrishna Parijatham), Sri Vempati Ravi Shankar, Ghazal Srinivas and many other well-known artists from India, thereby not only giving the exposure to the artists from India but in turn creating an environment for the local aspiring students pursuing art to have a greater interaction and learning experience from the masters. She organized many Kuchipudi demos and workshops in the tri-state to promote the art form.

She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a Diploma in Yoga and Naturopathy from Chennai University. Indira is working for the past 20 years in the IT field in the Tri-State area.
