Dedicated and accomplished Bharatanatyam teacher with a lifelong passion for classical dance and
over 31 years of experience in this revered art form. Trained under the esteemed Guru Dr. K.
Sivaloganathan at Koothambalam Natyalaya from the age of 3, I have performed extensively on
renowned stages and earned recognition for my artistic excellence. Since 2013, I have been
imparting Bharatanatyam training, first in Chennai and then in Massachusetts, USA, with a mission
to preserve and pass on the rich heritage of this classical art form to younger generations.
• Yuva Kala Bharathi Award for Bharatanatyam (2006) – Recognized for excellence in
classical dance.• Secured 1st Prize consecutively in T amil Nadu state-level dance competitions.
• Started Teaching: 2013 in Chennai, India.
• Teaching in Massachusetts, USA: Since 2017.
• Passionately nurturing talent and instilling discipline, creativity, and a deep cultural
appreciation for Bharatanatyam in students of all age groups.
• Focuses on teaching the full Bharatanatyam repertoire, including Alarippu, Jatiswaram,
Varnam, Padam, and Tillana.
• Known for a structured approach that combines rigorous training in technique and abhinaya
(expression) with an emphasis on understanding the cultural essence of Bharatanatyam.
• Performed in numerous school and college-level annual programs.
• Conducted workshops and programs in Chennai and Massachusetts to promote
Bharatanatyam among diverse audiences.
• Performed on prestigious stages in Tamil Nadu and Featured in Tamil Nadu newspapers for acclaimed performances, particularly at Narada Gana
Sabha, Karur.
